The universe is a really interesting place. The processes and events occurring in the universe are even strange, some are inexplicable, some are quite dangerous, and some are really beautiful.
1. Life itself
What happens in our body is truly amazing. Think about it. Then the atoms somehow find a way to form cells, which in turn control the processes that allow you to live the way you want to live. There are a lot of these cells doing the same thing over and over again at a speed we can't even imagine. Why do they do it and what made them do it? These questions arise from the general philosophical questions that have troubled us since time immemorial: "Why are we here?" How are we doing here? But who or what did it?'
2. Self-immolation of a person
Human spontaneous combustion is probably the most controversial natural phenomenon. Spontaneous combustion has been known to occur in other animals, and such events have been observed and recorded. Spontaneous combustion is defined as the combustion of the human body without an external source of ignition, in other words, your explosion for no reason. One theory is the "verb effect," which means that your clothes absorb melted human fat and can thus act like a candle's wick. Scary, huh?
3. Fire Rainbow
A horizontal arc or fire rainbow is an optical phenomenon caused by the refraction of sunlight through thick, flat, horizontal ice crystals in cirrus clouds. Atmospheric conditions must be very specific and perfect and can only be observed in certain parts of the world. To get an idea of how complicated things really are to form, check out this quote from Wikipedia: “To be observed, the sun must be very high in the sky, at an elevation of 57.8° (90). -32.2°) or more and can occur only in the presence of cirrus clouds. As a result, it cannot be observed north of 55° east or south of 55° south, although sometimes at higher latitudes than the mountains. In Northern Europe, it can be observed only during the Summer Solstice. If the cloud conditions are right, it appears on the horizon on the same side of the sky as the sun. It reaches its maximum intensity at 67.9° elevation of the Sun." Was it really photographed?
4. Lucid Dreaming
Not all strange phenomena happen in nature, but sometimes they can happen in us. What about the mind? Lucid dreaming occurs when someone is aware that they are dreaming while they are asleep. While it may not seem like much on paper, imagine the endless possibilities of having complete control over your imagination. Some people have even flown in their dreams and all say it was one of the most thrilling experiences of their lives.
5. Moon belt
Everyone knows the rainbow and how beautiful it is, but what about its not-so-distant and not-so-beautiful cousin, the moon? A crescent moon is created when water droplets combine with the mists created by waterfalls, providing the perfect environment to create this phenomenon. Because the moon isn't as bright as the sun, it's much harder to see a lunar rainbow than a rainbow, but when you do, it's a sight to behold.
